Digital approaches to Fine Art are…

When thinking about Digital Art, I think of the following things:

Graphic design- including typography, illustrations, and photo munipulation, I actually took a class in graphic design and it relied heavily on Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and a little bit of Indesign. I learned how to work each of those things and then learned how to combine these together to create art.

Photography- even though photography can be non-digital, it can also be digital especially with todays technology. I don’t have a lot of experience in photography but took part of this digital art class last semester and received a little insight on the workings of my Cannon Digital camera. You can really use photography asa digital art tool to create other types of art as well.

Television- Can include audio and video to create art. I view movies and even music videos as a type of digital art. There is even digital animation on T.V. in cartoons.

Digital signs and Imagery- You can see these every where, not just on the computer. Some examples are digital billboards and electric signs.

Projector- These can also project digital art through connecting to the computer, so I still see this as part of the digital art field.

CD’s and DVD’s can also hold art to be displayed because music is a form of art and movies/animations as well.

You can use many different digital portals to display art, it just doesnt have to be through a computer.
